Leak Testing… Pressure Decay
Leak testing has been widely used since the 1950’s to test component and subassembly quality. A pressure decay method is often used in medical and automotive applications as it addresses the common testing challenges. These include: Cycle Time, Sealing the part, Repeatability & Reproducibility, and Adapting to the Part being tested. Pressure decay also works well with air pressures up to 7 bar (100 psi) and can use standard compressed air.
Finding the right testing equipment and especially a supplier to help with your specific application is critical. We offer a range of testers and help develop a good process for you that adapts to the cycle times and number of parts and features required for testing.
