We have maintained our original purpose in designing tools that will withstand the abuse of assembly line, maintenance and repair usage. While the quality of our designs and products are well known, the professional service after the sale has long been a Belknap trademark.
Our customers recognize the quality of our products and while they may never need the tooling life our tools are capable of, it is still there – just in case they do! You may never need the service we freely offer, but it is immediately available. The reputation and trust we have developed over the years is important to Van F. Belknap Co., Inc. and we intend to keep it that way.
We design and develop hundreds of special tools each year for use in the automotive, agricultural, petrochemical, aerospace and electronics industries. Quality Control is not just another term for us – it demands performance from the end product. Our Quality Control Manual is complete, it sets the focus. Further, our Repair Department is a full service department. We can repair, service and calibrate most any make of torque wrench. Certifications of Accuracy, traceable to SI are furnished with each repaired torque wrench, upon request.

CJWinter Machine Technologies, Inc.
Company History
CJWinter® Machine Technologies, Inc., originally known as C. J. Winter Machine Works, was incor-porated in 1956. Prior to that, it was operated as
a sole proprietorship for many years by Charles J. Winter. Our reputation for quality screw machine tooling grew as CJWinter focused on the manufacture of tool holders and attachments for Davenport screw machines in the 1950’s. The company was acquired by Mr. Robert J. Brinkman, present Chief Executive Officer, in 1969. Mr. Brinkman began development of the current line of thread rolling attachments shortly after purchasing the company. The company also began manufac-turing thread roll dies for its own thread rolling attachments and for equipment manufactured by others. The Winter line of thread rolling attach-ments has become the standard of excellence for thread rolling attachments for screw machines in the United States. The company has also developed process improvements which have extended the life of its thread rolling dies and improved the precision of these metal forming tools. Our reputation for quality screw machine tooling has also been bolstered through the years as we continue to improve the manufacture of tool holders and attach-ments for Davenport screw machines, which is something we have been doing for over 40 years. The company’s products have become market leaders throughout the United States. They are also sold in eastern and western Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, the Pacific Rim, and North and South America. The company has built its reputation by offering the highest level of customer service, expert technical assistance, custom design and fast delivery anywhere in the world.
Mission Statement
“CJWinter Machine Technologies, Inc. will support a worldwide demand for precision tooling and technical support services by providing quality products, innovative ideas and using the leading edge of technology. Critical to accomplishing this is a profound respect for both our employees and customers.”
